Castout

It's so cold in the rain
But I'm locked outside,
They say I'm not welcome.
Stares and jeers
follow me out,
then only silence.
I hear the bitter wind,
Only she keeps me company.
But I'm all alone.
The ground breaks underneath me,
As I realize that,
I would never return
I would be a cast out.
An unwanted person.
Who's kept away...
My vision is hazy,
I see mist.
Building mist,
Coming take realization away.
I'm thankful.
It feels like a distant dream.
Nightmare.
I trust in the mist.
Because,
Maybe the mist
will take
All my worries away...
As, even the faintest hope
means
something.
